A Preventicum Check-Up not only aims to diagnose existing conditions, it also enables us to evaluate key risk factors and develop a preventive strategy specifically tailored to your lifestyle. Our experienced doctors will interpret all examination results during your visit to the clinic. Any further tests or treatment will be arranged quickly and conveniently thanks to our links with a large network of specialists. Your results, including your MRI images will be available on the day of your Check-Up.

Preventicum began at the University Hospital in Essen, Germany and after years of research, the first clinic opened in Essen in June 2003 and has now carried out over 4,000 Check-Ups. Preventicum, London Centre of Preventive Medicine opened in West London in July 2005.

After a detailed discussion with one of our doctors, a physical examination, comprehensive blood tests, ECG, stress test and ultrasound examinations are carried out. The centre-piece of the Check-Up is a unique, radiation-free Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan, which takes hundreds of images of the body without any known side-effects.

This highly innovative technology provides detailed images of the heart, blood vessels, brain, abdomen and colon. Preventicum doctors have in total more than 60 years’ health experience in the UK and Germany and hold specialist qualifications in many fields, including cardiology, radiology and general practice.

Our doctors’ experience lies in looking for the most common risk factors and diseases, as well as lesser-known conditions. Our health check is the application of a number of tests to detect potential disease or condition in an individual with no symptoms or signs.
