MRI colonoscopy
An MRI colonoscopy can detect colonic tumours in their very early stages. 90% of colon cancers develop from polyps in the colon and if detected, they can usually be easily removed.
Painless view of the colon
Conventional colonoscopy can be an unpleasant and sometimes painful examination requiring a hospital visit.
However, colonoscopy using MRI is painless and only mildly uncomfortable. Warm water will be introduced into the colon before the examination and you will need to drink a laxative the day before your Check-Up to empty your bowel.
Other abdominal organs such as the liver, kidneys and spleen will be assessed during this part of the MRI.
