As we recommence our health assessments, our experienced team of doctors have been working hard to offer clients the highest levels of confidence and reassurance expected from Preventicum. Our spacious Chancery Lane clinic with individual en-suite client rooms allows for new safety measures to be implemented with ease, however, due to these necessary protocols and additional services, we are introducing a temporary £50 surcharge to our health assessments. These are the details of what these extra charges cover:
We are introducing pre-assessment screening for all clients.
- Pre-assessment questionnaire screening for symptoms, contact history, and travel history.
Our Team and Your Protection
Our team has been through a comprehensive COVID-19 testing process, and will wear PPE throughout the day. Upon arrival, all staff, clients and visitors will be screened, including symptom check, temperature check, oxygen saturation levels and thorough hand sanitisation. As always, clients have their own en-suite room for the duration of the day and to ensure the safest experience, will not be in contact with any other clients when moving around the clinic. In line with our exceptional standards, all client and clinical areas will be stringently deep cleaned, disinfected and steam cleaned before and after each use. As an added precaution, we will have an on-site cleaner to ensure these high standards are maintained throughout the day. Each element of our unparalleled health assessments has been meticulously planned. Clients will be given their own high quality, reusable face mask with replaceable filter on arrival and offered a new Preventicum tracksuit to wear and take home with them. Additional hand sanitation steps will be in place at all stages of the assessment, as well as shoe covers, distancing methods, increased safety and cleaning protocols, new catering arrangements and the introduction of reduced numbers of clients and staff in the clinic at any one time.
Further testing on the day of your Health Assessment
In addition, you may wish to add the following to your health assessment:
- The Abbott antibody test (PHE approved) taken by venous sampling by our team on the day of your assessment. The accuracy of a venous sample is 100% sensitivity and 99.5% specificity. The antibody test is a blood test to check immune response if you have previously been infected with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus using gold standard laboratory methods. There is an additional charge of £240 if you choose to add this test.
- Chest X ray – If you have had symptoms of COVID-19 in recent months and have persistent chest signs and symptoms, a chest X ray is useful as first line imaging. This will be undertaken at an additional charge of £100 if clinically indicated after discussion and examination with your Preventicum doctor, and reported while you are here by one of our consultant radiologists.
If the results are abnormal and our consultant radiologists recommend further investigation, we will refer you to one of our recommended imaging centres for a CT scan of your chest.
